Products and Ingredients
Q: Are your products natural? A: Yes, all our products are 100 % natural waterless formulations made using sustainable botanical ingredients that contain no nasty chemicals or preservatives. We source high quality fair trade ingredients so your skin gets the very best of beneficial vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants that really help nourish and protect your skin. We believe in transparency so you know exactly what you are putting on your skin. By choosing natural, we can ensure your're getting pure, unrivalled goodness. Due to the fact the products are natural the colour, scent and texture may vary with each batch.
Q: Are your products suitable for sensitive skin? A: Yes our products were formulated for use on sensitive skins however we always recommended patch testing first if you do have any concerns. Always make sure you follow the correct application of the product, do not use on broken skin and discontinue use if irritation does occur.
Q: Are your products vegan and cruelty-free? A: Yes, all our products are vegan. Our commitment to compassion means we never use animal derived ingredients in any of our formulations. We firmly stand against animal cruelty and believe in developing effective skincare through ethical practices. We source our ingredients responsibly and work with suppliers who share our values.
Q: Do your products contain nuts? A: Yes some. There is always a risk of accidental contamination , therefore we cannot guarantee cross contamination on our other products that do not contain nut sourced ingredients.
Q: Do you made your products in house? A: Yes, our products are hand crafted in small batches. We are not a large factory turning out mass produced products. Instead each product is handmade with care and attention to detail right here in rural Lincolnshire. By making small batches we can ensure freshness and potency of these products so you always get the very best.
Q: Do you use preservatives in your skincare? A: No, we don't use any preservatives or nasty chemicals in our products. For ethical reason we also exclude some oils and waxes too. We say NO to parabens, silicones, PEGs, SLS, SLES, alcohol, fillers, synthetic colours and fragrance, palm oil, mineral oils and beeswax.
Q: Are your products waterless? A: Yes all our products are waterless formulations. By going waterless we eliminate the need for harsh chemicals and preservatives as water can create the perfect environment for bacteria to grow. Our products are naturally self preserving and made in small batches to ensure this freshness. By removing water we can pack our products full of higher concentrations meaning you get more of the good stuff. Water is also a precious resource and the skincare giants use significant amounts of it. Choosing waterless products help to minimise and conserve our environmental footprint. Waterless formulations also have a richer, more luxurious feel to them so they can feel incredibly pampering. They absorb beautifully leaving your skin feeling nourished and protected.
Q: How do I keep my skincare fresh? A: Because we don't use any synthetic preservatives it means its extra important to keep your products fresh for the longest shelf life. By using a clean dry scoop or spatula to remove them from the jar helps keep bacteria and water out. You can use your fingers but make sure they are clean and dry and that you don't go back for a double dip as getting dirt and water into them will shorten their lifespan. Always make sure the lids are on tightly too and store them in a cool dry place. This will ensure they stay fresh for at least 6 months, some products will stay fresher for much longer but if you are using the correct amounts you should be using them up within the 6 months, so plenty of time to experience the benefits of natural goodness. Butters may go grainy with temperature fluctuations, this is perfectly normal as they are made up of different fatty acids which cool at different temperatures and is all part of using natural skincare. They will still melt into the skin when applied. Following this steps will keep your products fresher for longer.
Q: Can I return jars to you for recycling? A: At the moment we don't offer this service but we are looking into this as a future possibility. Our jars are made from glass so can be recycled, the bamboo pots and lids are also sustainably sourced. Even our labels are vegan and biodegradable. We are always looking at alternative ways to minimise our carbon footprint and wastage.
Q: Do you do different products for different skin types? A: Our products are suited to all skin types, even the most sensitive. All the oils and butters we use are lightweight, non comedogenic and penetrate deeply without clogging pores. Always listen to your skin though, every individual is different. If a balm or oil feels too heavy or you have oilier skin, choose to use a smaller amount or less often. Some dryer skins will need an oil added to a balm and some will need scrubs and masks more or less often than others. By embracing the power of carefully formulated skincare you can achieve a healthier more balanced complexion for any skin type.
