Rosehip Oil — An Autumn Ritual for Nourished Skin

Rosehip Oil — An Autumn Ritual for Nourished Skin

There is something wonderfully autumnal about rosehip. Perhaps it is the rich ruby-red fruit left behind after the rose has flowered, or the way this beautiful botanical seems to belong in a season of slowing down, layering up and giving our skin a little more care.

As the air becomes cooler and our summer glow begins to fade, autumn is a lovely time to revisit the oils and balms that help make a skincare ritual feel comforting, nourishing and beautifully simple.

Why rosehip feels so right in autumn

Rosehip oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the rosehip fruit. In skincare, it is loved for its naturally occurring vitamins and essential fatty acids, and for the way it can bring nourishment to an oil blend without making it feel heavy.

It is one of those ingredients that feels both useful and quietly luxurious — a botanical oil with a beautiful story, a warm seasonal connection and a natural place in an autumn skincare ritual.

Rosehip in the apple & bee range

Our Replenish & Rebalance Day Oil brings rosehip together with grapeseed, apricot kernel, red raspberry seed, camellia seed and other carefully chosen botanical oils. It is a lightweight facial oil designed to nourish and rebalance, absorbing beautifully without feeling heavy.

For a richer autumn pairing, layer it with our Nourish & Protect Moisture Balm. The balm contains rosehip alongside argan and prickly pear oils, with shea and mango butters to give it that comforting, melting texture. Oil and balm together make a particularly lovely ritual when skin is asking for extra softness and nourishment.

My favourite autumn ritual

After cleansing, apply two or three drops of the Day Oil to clean, dry or slightly damp skin. Gently press it over your face and neck, taking a moment to breathe in the calming botanical blend.

Then warm a pea-sized amount of the Moisture Balm between your fingertips and massage it gently into the skin. You can use the balm on its own, or mix it with your facial oil for an even more indulgent layer of nourishment.

It is a simple ritual, but it feels like a small act of kindness — especially on those cooler mornings and darker evenings when we naturally begin to crave a little more comfort.

Rosehip beyond facial oils

Rosehip also appears in our Lash & Brow Serum and Total Eye Recovery Serum, where it is part of carefully balanced, fragrance-free botanical blends for the delicate eye area. But for autumn, the combination of facial oil and balm is where I find it shines most beautifully.

Autumn skincare does not need to be complicated. Sometimes it is simply about choosing a few beautiful ingredients, using them consistently and giving your skin the extra nourishment it is beginning to ask for.
